Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has launched the Artificial Intelligence Robotics award. This is one the country's commitment to support innovation in the area of artificial intelligence and robotics.

The award offers a first of its kind global platform for innovation, with a focus on practicality and relevance to several sectors in the society, such as - education, health and social services.
Participants are required to submit their videos and proposals using the online submission form. Individuals, groups, universities or companies can apply and submit up to three entries. However, a project leader must be nominated. They can also consist of as many members as are required, however only four members of each team will be eligible for sponsored travel if selected for the semi-finals.
