The Infinix Hot 2 was the first Android One phone to be launched in Nigeria. Reasonably priced and competitively ‘specced’, the Infinix Hot 2 became an instant crowd’s favourite when it launched in Nigeria.

Perhaps the single most important reason the Infinix Hot 2 was such a hit with consumers was the promise of regular and timely Android OS updates. Unfortunately, the updates have been anything but timely. However, the long wait is finally over as the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS update has finally arrived for the Infinix Hot 2.

The update is available OTA (Over-the-Air) so, if you own an Infinix Hot 2 device, you should get the notification anytime soon.

Adventurous geeks who can't wait to have the update can go ahead and flash the update manually. You will need to download the official factory image to do that. It's about 625mb in size. If you need help flashing the update manually, you can follow step-by-step instructions from here.
