Want to gatecrash an Owambe? There(could be)’s an app for that

by | Nov 25, 2015

Introducing Owambe App, finding events in your locality using crowdsourced information. The app allows users to enter info about a party/event they are hosting or attending, broadcast on the platform and share to social media platforms.

One interesting thing about Owambe is that it links to crowdsourced fund raising  platforms (like GoFundMe) to help with funding. Also, the host can add more individuals as co-host and share duties amongst them.

Weekends in Lagos, Nigeria are party/turnup days. I have had my own fair share of the excitement and I got thinking about ‘Naija’s Owambe’. I searched the app stores and couldn’t find an app for ‘Owambe’ experience. Pondering on this, I thought of designing an app that does just what most Nigerian hearts crave for.

For folks already searching the app stores, Owambe isn’t yet made. But if you are so eager to see it come to light, why not drop your views about features you will like to see in the comment section below?
