The Corporate Affairs Commission appears to have temporarily shut down its online business registration portal. According to a statement on the website, this decision is in line with the Federal Government's Treasury Single Account directive:
The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) wishes to inform its esteemed customers that effective from Monday 14th Spetember, 2015, all filling fees should be paid into CBN designated Treasury Single Account (TSA) for CAC.
CAC customers are by this notice expected to pay their filling fees into the TSA via any Commercial Bank of their choice. All Banks have been directed to accept payment of Government Revenues into TSA in line with the Federal Government’s directive.
Customers are expected to submit the duly completed registration documents to any of the Commission’s offices nationwide with the evidence of payment.
Furthermore, online payment through the Company Registration Portal (CRP) of the Commission has been suspended until full integration is concluded.
Signed,
Management.
It is unclear whether, prior to the suspension, online payments were being received via multiple accounts or why this would affect the overall running of the portal. However, as of this publication you will be unable to make any pre-registration or post-registration transactions on the website.
This is a developing story.
