DEMO Africa 2015 begins today at Eko Hotels and Suites, Lagos, Nigeria. This year's summit is themed “The African Opportunity: Angel Investing in Africa” and is hosted by the African Business Angel Network (ABAN), Lagos Angels Network (LAN), DEMO Africa and VC4Africa.
Speakers at this event are Ivar Siimar, Harry Tomi Davies, Candace Johnson, Peter Jungen, Collins Onuegbu, Ben White and Amee Patel.
Thirty startups have been given the golden opportunity to pitch their ideas to investors and a guest list of 500 attendees for 6 minutes. The event will run for two days (September 24th to 25th) with two pre-event sessions on the 23rd.
According to the president of the African Business Angel Network (ABAN) – H.Tomi Davies, “The summit will provide a unique opportunity for accessing the latest investment methods and best practices from sourcing deals through valuation to exits. It will also provide investors with an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the best of an increasing number of cross-border enterprise initiatives being developed by a new generation of African entrepreneurs.”
