Facebook released Moments a few months back and the company has now released the app’s first major update which comes power packed with a new video feature.
Moment started out as a photo sharing app that addressed the issue of getting friends to easily send each other the photos they took on each other’s phones that they have been unable to share with each other. The new update will create a video of your shared photos and automatically create a music video for your grouped photos. The Moments app allows you to select the photos you want instead and personalize your choice of music, tag your friends and share back to Facebook.
This new update will make the app a competitor to Flipagram and might attract more downloads and app usage for Moments if it catches on. Facebook videos presently gets about 4 billion daily views and the company has concentrated a great deal of effort in this department.
