The Seedstars World train continues its tour of Africa with its most recent stop in the city of Abidjan, Ivory Coast.Seedstars Abidjan, which was hosted at the Orange Technocentre in Abidjan had 10 local startups pitch against each other for a ticket to the finale.

Airshop, a platform that lets you buy anything and pick it up at a duty free shop when you travel, was selected the best startup in Ivory Coast. Airshop will join MyQ, from NigeriaAsoriba from Ghana and other startups from around the world in Switzerland in February 2016 for the final pitching round, for a shot at the $500,000 equity investment prize. Other investments and prizes such as the Travel Investment track powered by lastminute.com group, a $500,00 equity investment for the best travel startup and the $50,000 grant for the best space startup are also up for grabs.

Seedstars World is a global pitch competition targeted at startups in emerging markets. The competition has expanded to include more than 50 countries for 2015, up from the 36 countries in 2014. Past participants have raised $20m between them, providing employment to +360 employees all emerging markets in the world.

Next stop for Seedstarts World, on the road to Switzerland is Kigali, Rwanda on the 26th of August at KLab, Kigali
