Since its inception in September 2012, the Nigeria Internet Governance Forum (NIGF) has been trying to promote Nigeria’s position on the global internet ecosystem by advancing internet governance issues in the nation through a multi-stakeholder framework. This year, the Local Multi-stakeholders Advisory Group (LMAG) in conjunction with other local stakeholders will be organising a two-day Forum, tagged NIGF 2015.
NIGF 2015 is aimed at discussing issues around Internet Governance Ecosystem potentials and how these can be harnessed for economic growth and sustenance in Nigeria. By the end of the Forum: A consensus will have been reached among stakeholders on a framework for internet governance in Nigeria, Nigeria’s most critical and evolving internet governance issues will have been discussed and various efforts to advance Nigeria’s position in regional and global IGF Forums will have been made.
The first day will be dedicated to Nigerian youth as a pre-event. Renowned personalities will be speaking at the Youth Workshop on ‘Internet of Everything and Your Business Opportunities’.
