Ahmad Farroukh Officially Steps Down As CEO of MTN South Africa.

MTN Group has issued an official statement confirming the resignation of Ahmad Farroukh, CEO of MTN South Africa. there have been speculations over the possible departure of Farroukh; and now the move has been confirmed.

Ahmad Farroukh will no longer be the CEO of MTN South Africa, effective from 31 July 2015.

This was a difficult decision to take for Ahmad, but unavoidable due to personal and family reasons. On behalf of the MTN leadership, we thank Ahmad for his contribution and wish him success with his future endeavours.- MTN Group president and CEO, Sifiso Dabengwa

Farroukh joined MTN in 2006. MTN group have not named a successor to Farroukh yet, but the announcement will be made as soon as the new appointment is finalized.
