Federal Science and Technical College (FSTC) Yaba, Lagos is the latest beneficiary of the ‘Power to You’ project by Vodacom Nigeria. The school was provided with WiFi services and 220KVA generating set.
The ‘Power to You Project’ is aimed at supporting public and private schools in Nigeria, by providing access to ICT and new telecommunication technologies. The motive behind this project is revealed in the MD of Vodacom’s Speech (Guy Clarke) as he stated that “internet penetration in Nigeria is still low especially in public schools.
“With the ‘Power to You Project’, we aim to bridge the digital divide that exists in communities and schools without access to ICT”.
We hope other schools will benefit from this soon.
