Applications are now open for the African Entrepreneurship Award (AEA), the competition sponsored by The Moroccan Commercial bank BMCE Bank, reports Disrupt Africa.
We seek all Africans, around the world, who want to create jobs and improve lives in Africa. Is it hard? Yes! Do we believe this is the best way forward for Africa? Yes! BMCE Bank of Africa is powering this Award because we believe that private businesses are the power behind our economies – our livelihoods – our jobs – our families’ futures - Issam Skalli, Project Manager of the Award.
Applications are considered on a rounds basis; and there are three rounds: regional, pan-African and global. At every round, a group of mentors assess the applications while finalists from the three rounds will pitch before a 'presidential jury' in Morocco by October.
The top three winners stand a chance to win a minimum of $10,000 to $500,000 each as well as assistance in launching and scaling their businesses, with an all-expense paid trip to Nairobi, Kenya to attend the 2015 Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
Applications will be open till June 30, 2015.
