MTN continues its actions to offer its customers a new digital world and contributes to the emergence of a digital Ivory Coast with MTN Côte d’Ivoire announcing a strategic partnership with SUMMVIEW to launch a new service called “MTN TV”, a service that is accessible on mobile.

MTN TV offers MTN Côte d’Ivoire users the ability to access a set of  live TV channels as well as on-demand content from their smartphones and tablets. Users are able to download the MTN TV app from the MTN CI website or from Google Play Store; and they have the option to  subscribe to the service for a day, a week or a month. The availability of video on smartphones and tablets relies on the platform developed by SUMMVIEW.

With MTN TV, MTN Côte d’Ivoire expands its range of services and mobile applications and provides its subscribers an innovative offering of quality content, information as well as entertainment on mobile. The “one stop shop” offer of SUMMVIEW allowed mastering the costs and securing the roll-out. By deploying this new service, MTN continues its actions to offer its customers a new digital world and contributes to the emergence of a digital Ivory Coast – Mr. Wim Vanhelleputte, CEO of MTN Côte d’Ivoire.

During the Mobile World Congress starting today in Barcelona, the MTN TV service will be presented at the SUMMVIEW booth; and on first launch , the first five international channels accessible on MTN TV are FRANCE 24, Al Jazeera, TRACE AFRICA, BBLACK and TIJI.

The service should make its way to Nigeria soon, hopefully.
