Enyata Community invests in the African tech ecosystem by building communities and initiatives that will aid the growth and journey of aspiring software engineers and tech enthusiasts. Our rapidly growing community, now numbering over 5,000 members across multiple countries, is a testament to our commitment to empowering the next generation of tech talents. We are driven by the vision of a future where African developers are at the forefront of technological innovation, creating solutions that address the unique challenges faced by the continent.

Previous Community Events: BuildUp 1.0 and BuildUp 2.0

Enyata launched the BuildUp initiative, a community-wide program designed to equip talents with the most valuable resources as part of our commitment to nurturing the next generation of tech innovators. The success of BuildUp 1.0 and BuildUp 2.0 has been remarkable, with over 7,000 participants impacted across Nigeria. Through these programs, we have empowered 100+ talents by providing them with MacBooks and Pluralsight subscriptions, ensuring they have the tools to grow and succeed in the tech industry.

These events have become a cornerstone of our community outreach, underscoring our belief in the power of technology to drive social and economic change across Africa.

Building on the success of our previous initiatives, Enyata is proud to announce the launch of the Enyata Buildathon 2024. This event is a three-week hackathon designed to bring together software developers, designers, product managers, and innovators across Africa to build Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) that address the continent’s unique challenges.

The Enyata Buildathon 2024 is more than just a competition; it’s a platform for African innovators to showcase their skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts through interactive workshops and mentorship sessions, gain valuable insights, and expand their professional networks.

At the end of the event, teams and individuals will present their projects to a panel of judges who will evaluate the solutions based on innovation, functionality, and their potential impact on Africa. Prizes, including cash rewards of $1,000 for the winner, $700 for the first runner-up, and $500 for the second runner-up, along with merchandise and goodies from our partners, will be awarded to the top-performing teams.
