The meme coin sector has seen some of its biggest and most popular cryptocurrencies launch in 2024, and in some cases, the meme coins are still in their respective ICO stages.

What makes today’s meme coins stand out is their determination to push the boundaries of the current crypto/blockchain technology. The original Dogecoin (DOGE) had no utility or unique technology.

Later, meme coins started adding DeFi functionalities such as staking to make themselves more distinguished, but now, this third generation of meme coins is coming up with new technological breakthroughs.

Among them, two are currently the favorites of the industry and the talk of the market — Dogeverse (DOGEVERSE) and WienerAI (WAI).

What are Dogeverse and WienerAI About?

Dogeverse is a more traditional dog-based meme coin that emerged as the world’s first multichain meme coin. While technically not out yet, as it is still in presale, the project will launch on six blockchains — Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana, Polygon, Avalanche, and Base.

These are some of the most active and busiest chains in the industry, each with its own cryptocurrencies, DeFi protocols, dApps, and more. Now, all of their DEXes will have the same meme coin available — DOGEVERSE.

This will make Dogeverse one of the most available and inclusive cryptocurrencies around, not to mention that it is also unique thanks to its chain-hopping capabilities.

On the other hand, WienerAI is also a dog-based meme coin, although this one combines a dog, a sausage, and AI into a unique mix with highly promising capabilities.

Specifically, the project was designed to be highly upgradeable to keep up with any new trends emerging after its launch, allowing itself to evolve with the times.

This is something that most other cryptos can’t do, as they were designed in a specific way and were meant to stay that way. Any changes that come to them go through a complicated process with countless hours of development required.

WienerAI, on the other hand, can easily change to accommodate the needs and wants of the market and its community.

Are there Similarities Between Dogeverse and WienerAI?

The two projects share multiple similarities, although they differ in other aspects. For example, both are dog-based meme coins; both have quickly captured the market's attention and became major hits even in the presale stage.

Dogeverse, for example, already raised over $12.3 million after a few weeks in presale, while WienerAI raised over half a million in a matter of a few days. Both will also offer staking once they go live, allowing users to earn passive income simply by locking up their tokens and holding onto them for a specific period.

Finally, while doing it in different ways, both represent an example of how innovative meme coins can be and how they can push the established boundaries if given the opportunity and adequate support.
