Cavista Tech, a leading software development company with a presence in Nigeria, Botswana, India, and The Philippines, kicks off the 2nd edition of the Cavista Hackathon today, featuring students from UNILAG, LASU, and Yabatech.
The 48-hour hackathon, taking place at the Afe Babalola Hall in the University of Lagos, starts today, April 26th, and ends at 6 pm tomorrow, April 27th, with the pitch session and announcement of winners. The winner goes home with a cash prize of N1 million, with consolation prizes for the 1st and 2nd runners up.
A total of 150 students representing the three institutions are participating in this iconic event, promising an exciting time for both hackers and spectators.
To kick off the event and inspire the hackers, the Honourable Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande will grace the occasion, along with a representative of the Lagos State Commissioner for Youth and Sport.
The first edition of the Cavista Hackathon was held last year at Babcock University exclusively for students of the institution. This time, it's bigger and promises even more excitement.
