Clane receives payment solution service licence from CBN

Nigerian fintech startup, Clane has been granted a payment service solution licence by the Central Bank of Nigeria. As a result of receiving this licence, the startup will be able to offer agency banking services, operate as a payments solution service provider, and a payment terminal service provider.

Founded in 2017, Clane provides digital payment solutions for both individuals and businesses. ClanePay is its solution for individuals and allows users pay for services ranging from utility bills to event tickets. ClanePOS, on the other hand provides multiple payment options for businesses and includes cards, transfers, and NFC payments.

According to Dipo Alabede, Clane CEO, "We are thrilled to have been issued this license by the CBN. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and it allows us to continue providing innovative and reliable mobile payment solutions to our customers. We believe that the future of payments is mobile, and we are excited to be at the forefront of this movement."
