The Senator Tokunbo Abiru Innovation Lab is now receiving applications for the second edition of the Tech talent Programme. This program is for young people who are interested in becoming software developers and who live within the Lagos east senatorial district.
The curriculum will take the participants through a learning plan that will help them move from beginner to entry-level software developers in six months. The training will take place at the newly built Innovation Labs in Ikorodu from December 2022 to May 2023. Trainees will be equipped with both the technical and soft skills that they need to give their tech careers a strong start. After six months, the students will get certified and the most promising graduates will get internship opportunities with different partner-companies.
The tech talent programme is one of the five programs being implemented at the SAIL Hub in Ikorodu by the Co-creation Hub. The faculty and adopted curriculum is provided by Techcampus, the training arm of Findworka. Techcampus has trained thousands of students in different courses ranging from UI/UX design, Front-end development, Back-end development, Mobile app development and Data Science.
