FAST Founder Series is intended to amplify the stories of startups from across Africa, share how their founders are leveraging technology to scale sustainable operations, and foster a global community of entrepreneurs that inspire innovators all over the world.
With a new podcast episode released each week, the series delves into key topics for startup founders, including job creation, business formation, cloud and AI enablement, and venture capital. Podcast listeners will learn how these individual entrepreneurs are leveraging technology to scale sustainable operations across Africa and around the world. In the series’ first 3 episodes, Nigerian startup LegitCar’s CEO Vincent Okeke and CTO Samuel Ogbujimma share lessons learned while building Africa’s largest vehicle data service and democratizing access to vehicle data for car owners and insurance companies; Uganda startup KaCyber’s CEO Innocent Orikiiriza presents KaCyber’s journey of reaching 10 million ticket sales milestone as they expand upon their vision of making seamless mobility a reality in Africa; while Namibia’s LynkWise’s co-CEOs Ryan Penderis and Sean Penderis share their story of addressing important employee payroll pain-points and scaling the company’s unique loan repayments platform across Africa.
Revolutionizing industry across the continent with AgriTech, EduTech, HealthTech and FinTech, the twelve startup founders featured in the FAST Founder Series podcast are graduates of the first FAST startup accelerator. They were chosen from more than 800 applicants representing 25 countries in Africa. The twelve entrepreneurs represent six countries and nine industries, and include two women founders. Each startup founder is tackling challenges that address the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including equality, education, and poverty reduction.
