Pesapeer, a global financial remittance platform that launched in 2021 in Canada, has extended its license to cater for 6 more African countries; Guinea, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Cameroon and 2 Asian countries; India and Philippines. Canadian immigrants who use Pesapeer will be able to make free, borderless transfers to these countries in addition to existing corridors like Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, European Union and the United Kingdom.

Canada welcomes an average of 400,000 permanent residents per year . Most of these immigrants would periodically remit money to their loved ones frequently aside from remittance; they would also require a bank account for their daily spending needs. The ultimate goal for Pesapeer is to provide digital financial services to immigrants from a single pane of glass; where they can spend, save, invest and remit money to their loved ones.

“Expanding our corridors will provide even greater access to the immigrant community in Canada and will provide an even greater level of security and confidence for our customers. It will also enable us to launch a host of new products and services in the near future”, said Tolulope Osho, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pesapeer Inc.

In less than one year, Pesapeer has attracted more than 5000 immigrant customers in Canada and processed over $15m dollars in transactions. When Pesapeer launched in 2021, they started with enabling remittance services from Canada to Africa but soon expanded to accommodate payouts to the United Kingdom and the 27 countries under the European Union. With this expansion into India and Philippines, Pesapeer now enables payouts to over 40 countries in the world.

You can send from CAD (Canadian Dollar) to INR (Indian Rupee), NGN (Nigerian Naira),  PHP (Philippines Peso),  GBP (Great British Pounds) ,  GHS (Ghanaian Cedi),  KES (Kenyan Shilling), UGX (Ugandan Shilling), XOF (Guinea, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast ), XAF (Cameroon) and EUR (Euro).

Pesapeer is registered with the Financial Transactions and Report Analysis center of Canada as a Money service provider and this allows them to provide limited banking services via the Pesapeer app along with an array of financial services and products soon to be introduced by the team.

Using Pesapeer app, customers can spend and transfer money globally with no hidden fees, enjoy multi currency wallets - especially the Virtual Naira Wallet which has been an instant success in the Nigerian immigrant community in Canada - and send money to friends and family instantly at the best rates in the world.
