The Professor Ogundipe Innovative Challenge (POIC) is an initiative of the Faculty of Science, University of Lagos. It seeks to create an enabling platform for innovative students in Nigeria to nurture their ideas to fruition.

This initiative will see young, ingenious Nigerian students with innovative ideas come up with innovations that could proffer solutions to several human and environmental problems, or improve on existing systems already addressing these issues whilst using it to advance the course of research in science and technology.

Eleven (11) teams from the University of Lagos and other universities in Nigeria have made it to the finals, which will be happening on September 3rd, 2019 at the Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall, University of Lagos.

Participants will get a chance to present their ideas to top government functionaries, captains of industry, corporate investors, researchers, students and members of the public. Three of the best innovations will be rewarded with one million Naira each.

This event is expected to arouse curiosity amongst relevant stakeholders and contribute immensely to the culture of research by some of the exciting innovations that would be displayed.

Attendance is free but participants must obtain an invite registering here.

This challenge is proudly sponsored by FCMB.
