Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, former Technical Assistant to the newly appointed Minister of Communications -- Isa Pantami, has been appointed as the new DG of the agency.
This was made known in the statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Garba Shehu.
Prior to Kasifu's appointment, ministerial nominee (and now minister of communications), Isa Pantami was the DG of the agency from 2016 until his recent appointment.

After working closely with Isa Pantami as a Technical Assistant to the outgoing DG, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi will be filling the large shoes of his former boss.
As a graduate of Computer Science from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Kashifu laid his technology foundations working for Galaxy Backbone as a Network Engineer and Solutions Architect, before working in the public sector.
Earning executive certificates from the MIT Sloan School of Management in Strategy and Innovation, as well as in Management and Leadership along the way.
Abdullahi served as a Technology Architect with the Central Bank of Nigeria from 2014 before being on secondment to the technology development agency from 2017.
The appointment of the new DG is effective immediately but he is yet to make known his vision for the agency as at press time.
