Youth unemployment in Nigeria has become a lingering threat to our socio-economic stability with many graduates and skilled youths idle. To curb the menace of youth unemployment in Nigeria, the Kaduna State Government and the World Bank with the support of the Rockefeller Foundation, have put together a three-day E-lance Training Workshop, “Click-On Kaduna in Partnership with Digital Naija”.
Each day is going to address specific skills, depending on the participant’s interest shown in their applications and CVs.
Day 1 will focus on Business Skills (for example marketing, business, sales, and translation).
Day 2 features IT Skills (including app developers and web developers) and
Day 3 wraps up with Creative Industries Skills (such as animators, after-effects artists, graphic designers, illustrators, and writers).
Participants between the ages of 18-40 years-old will learn how to identify, negotiate, execute and receive payment for jobs on leading E-lance platforms both locally and internationally. There will also be a Job Fair section at the event that will allow participants to network with and learn more from the E-lance platforms on how to best position themselves to earn incomes from the Virtual Economy.
Applications are currently on for the workshops and will end June 22nd, 2018. It’s a simple three-step process to fill the form and one step closer for Nigerian graduates to earn an income from the comfort of their homes.
