If one of the reasons you buy a device is battery life, the TECNO Pouvoir 2 might be your device of choice. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery which according to them will last you up to 96 hours of normal usage.
The device comes in two variants but the one we have for unboxing is the standard version with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.
If you are familiar with TECNO devices, the TECNO L-Series are battery-focused devices which means the new POUVOIR SERIES replaces the L-series. Pouvoir is a French word which means power, without further Ado, here is the TECNO Pouvoir 2 unboxing, impressions and quick review.

TECNO Pouvoir 2 Unboxing – The Box
The smartphone is housed in a sleek rectangular white box with a picture of the smartphone in its full view glory boldly pasted at the front. Its key specifications such as the 5000mAh battery capacity and 4G LTE connection was boldly written on it.
Looking at the side, we see the normal inscription which says “CAUTION, DO NOT ACCEPT IF SEAL IS BROKEN”. The Pouvoir 2 name is also seen as well as MTN and 9Mobile free data stickers for new subscribers.
Inside the box
The box is covered from the top and to reveal the content, one would have to pull up the top casing.
On revealing, the phone is well-sited in the box, with the key specifications of the smartphone pasted on it with a plastered sheet which can be removed.

TECNO Pouvoir 2 Unboxing – The smartphone
Looking closely at the device, it’s pretty lightweight and very sleek. We got the sky blue colour.
In terms of display, you get a 6.0-inch HD+ with 18:9 full view display which translates to around 280dpi.
The speaker grill, microphone jack and USB port are positioned below the phone.
SIM card ejector trays, volume and power buttons are at the side as expected.
The 3.5mm audio jack stand separately on top of the device.
The SD card tray can be seen at the other side.
A closer look again reveals the sleek sky blue colour of the plastic cover, 13MP rear camera, LED flash light and the fingerprint sensor well placed beneath them.

TECNO Pouvoir 2 first Impressions
The Pouvoir 2 shares similar chocolate-like look as seen in the Phantom 8, it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo based on TECNO’s HIOS v3.3.0 custom UI.
There are two ways to view its list of apps menu, a single launcher and a Standard launcher. The single launcher shows apps from A-Z as seen in the Camon X and X Pro, while switching to the standard launcher shows applications in the regular Android way we are all familiar with. To switch, tap and hold down on a blank space on the home screen and select Desktop setting, among the sub-menu you find the launcher option
