The people dwelling in the realm of Facebook have yet another reason to rejoice. Facebook has released the official Facebook Messenger (Beta) app for Windows 10 and guess what? You will be able to send and receive high definition videos and images through the app. The Beta app is for PCs running on Windows 10 and the Windows mobile phones featuring the Windows 10 Mobile.

In the beta version of the app will be compatible with HD videos, images, reactions, stickers search, active online status and an improved version of message search. You should not confuse the beta version of the messenger app with main app which is still used by people mostly. Beta versions are released in a bid to test new features or functions of a program before they are made default. If they are a success then they are packaged in the program.

You might be happy that you will be able to use the high definition features soon even in main Facebook Messenger app. Then the features become trending in the main app just like Betway's new trending mobile app for online sports betting! You can download the beta version and give it a try and see how you like it. You are also free to use the main app if you want- or use them both!

The Top Things You Would Love About the Facebook Messenger Beta

Sure, you might know Facebook Messenger in and out, since we have all been using it for a really long time now, but Facebook has upgraded its app (for the better?) and included some cool new features that you definitely need to check out.

Let’s see some of the things that you will be able to do in the beta version-

  • HD Content- Under Settings in Photos you can choose to set the option to always send your emojis, videos or images in high definition
  •  Message Reactions- You can input a reaction in message by long tapping on your phone or right click on the PC. You can also disable message reactions for all or chosen contacts by going to Notification and navigating to Reactions to messages.
  •  Improves Search Interface- When you just tap on the search bar that appears on the home screen, you will be able to see people, pages, companies, contacts even before you type in anything for suggestions.
  •  Look for Stickers- The magnifying glass that is there in the sticker section needs to be clicked to get access to the whole range of stickers. They are categorized under different packages and you can use the ones you like!

Apart from the above improvements, some bugs in the app were also fixed. You might just want to look back around three years to notice how buggy Facebook Messenger was – they really have got it fixed big time!

Many people have started using the beta app to have fun and try out the new cool features. Have you thought about trying it out yet?
