Doctoora is an online platform that connects clients with healthcare professionals and also provide medical facilities. Health practitioners ranging from private/public healthcare facility vendors, telehealth startups, pharmacies to medical tourist are all welcome on the platform.

The founder, Dr. Debo Odulana (CEO) and his four-member team; Beatrix Wu (co-founder & COO), Shakirah Saliu (Clinical Director), Alecia Esson (Product Lead),  launched the platform on December 30, 2016 to solve key problems associated with health both for health workers and end users.doctoora

While Doctoora fulfills its main aim to provide medical facilities and services, the team has observed that a lot of medical professionals are usually discouraged when they do not get necessary placements in federal or state hospitals in Nigeria after a long period of search. As such, migrating to other countries to seek “greener pastures” has become the order of the day for so many of them. Hence, Doctoora has decided to take on this challenge and  help these practitioners increase their client base.

Increasing client base is an important factor when maximising the use of medical facilities. Doctoora is trying to offer health practitioners with this, improve access to healthcare and reduce the migration of healthcare workers away from Nigeria. ”

Currently, Doctoora claims to have 8 facilities and 35 healthcare practitioners on board. This platform allows all the services of all. The startup banks on its experienced management team, responsive website and relationship with medical equipment manufacturers,as  as its competitive edge.
