The days of struggling to rent, build or own traditional offices before starting a business are dying fast. Indeed, availability of co-working spaces has made it possible for many small and medium businesses to kick off and run efficiently.
Asides the workspace offered, other basic needs such as electricity and internet are often inclusive of their payment packages. Needless to say, the benefits of co-working spaces cannot be over-emphasised. This could be a pointer to why most incubation hubs in Nigeria also offer co-working spaces as part of their incubation plans.
Here is a comprehensive list of co-working spaces in Lagos, grouped by regions.
Deskyard is a new workspace which provides a unique environment to increase productivity and creativity. Their monthly plans include amenities like kitchen, outdoor terrace and coffee/tea.
Sinet Hub offers executive offices for both short-term and long-term leasing. They claim that their charges are at rates that “even small businesses can afford”.
BVF is a provider of virtual office solutions, among which are co-working spaces. The outlet also renders others business support services such as business address, meeting rooms, and fully equipped workstations. Clients either book or become members by subscribing to their various virtual packages.
Lagos Cowork was launched in January 2017 by a Lagos-based real estate firm, 3invest. Asides workspaces and other necessary amenities, it provides administrative support and other virtual office addresses. Subscription at Lagos Cowork is membership based.
Venia Business Hub offers co-working spaces to startups, SMEs, corporate and multinationals. Besides the fundamental office requirements, the hub makes available printing resources and a video-enabled conference room to facilitate works. Shared/Virtual offices and training venues are also available.
V8 Valley, a spin-off V8 Africa, offers open workspace desks. Subscription packages include office supplies, free parking, storage lockers and presentation equipment. A community manager is also assigned to attend to your guests.
Stranger Lagos is a concept store inspired by the need to share curiosities and interests with a wider audience. The facility offers a space to workout and membership plans. Other offered activities include a hangout space, spaces for rent (exhibitions, installations, film screenings etc) workshops hosting and discussion salons. Services are open (based on appointments) on weekdays and weekends.
With offices at Lekki and Ikoyi, Capital Square is another facility that provides co-working spaces. Asides providing the workspace for entrepreneurs, the co-working facility operates a collaborative community for independent professionals – entrepreneurs, creatives, and innovators alike.
Cre8 is dedicated to building a community of startups, investors and relevant stakeholders in the fintech industry. Located in Victoria Island, Lagos, cre8 provides fully serviced workspaces and meeting rooms for members.
Popular as a restaurant, Terrakulture could be best described as a hub of artsy things. But then, it also has a well-defined working space. Its workspace facility provides basic needed facilities such as electricity, the internet and more for entrepreneurs and freelancers. Payment pattern is membership based.
Cranium One is an open and shared workspace for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Separated offices and meeting rooms are also available and provided with privacy enough visibility to remain connected to the open space. The facility also has a communal kitchen and dining area that attracts workers to each other and to their independent projects.
A1 Spaces is a hub that provides co-working spaces to startups, bloggers, freelancers, and entrepreneurs. A1 operates from a suite in the Lagos City Hall, Lagos Island. Basic amenities such as Wifi, electricity are included in the packages offered.
Packages offered ranges from a private (one-man) office, and team members to open pool shared desks and a meeting room. Virtual office services are also offered.
The Lighthouse is a creative hub that provides a colourful and convenient workspace with practical tools and resources needed for entrepreneurs to take their business to the next level. African Hub (Ikeja)
African Hub is a business hub for startups and MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), with a focus on entrepreneurship, creativity, culture and lifestyle. The hub offers furnished workspaces, training/meeting rooms plus business support services.
As the name may hint, The Phiret Energy Services training facility is designed to meet the needs of the Energy industry with specialised in-house training courses. However, it also provides shared offices, and training rooms with amenities such as IP boards, wifi, and power supply.
Musterpoint is an outlet that offers coworking spaces and virtual offices to potential users. They peg their advantage on a relaxed and fun-filled environment.

SMEhub provides coworking spaces and dedicated desks for business owners and entrepreneurs. Asides this, the workspace also conducts series of training on business development courses to support clients. Training and meeting rooms are also available for rent.
360 Creative Hub is a fashion co-sewing space that operates in Surulere, Lagos. Intending users can either register monthly, quarterly or bi-annually The workspace avails fashion entrepreneurs different kinds of sewing machines that suit their intended designs.
The Circumference offers serviced desks, virtual offices, training/meeting rooms and business support services. The space services start-up entrepreneurs, independent contractors, work-at-home professionals, and travellers. Facilities such as electricity, mail handling as well as the internet are provided.
The Village is a newly launched African themed co-working space for creatives, entrepreneurs and small businesses. It adds both local and urban feel to its ambience. Launched by Passion incubator, Leadspace provides a functional office space for entrepreneurs/founders of small and medium size businesses, middle-level corporate executives, independent freelancers and creative artists.

Fastlaunch is a family business oriented co-working space that specialises in helping busy people (especially families) wishing to transit from paid employment to business ownership. The facility provides the necessary support, (be it part-time or full-time based) needed to scale a business from idea to product stage for long-term success.
Silver Ark is another co-working space for startups and entrepreneurs in Yaba. Asides shared workspace, the facility offers virtual office and business supports. The letter includes mail handling, office assistance, and other basic amenities needed for convenience.
Common Labs is an off-shoot of TINK Africa, consumer trends and market intelligence company. Common Labs seeks to revolutionise the entrepreneur’s approach to work. We are aware that quite a number of co-working spaces exist outside Lagos State, most of them, offshoots of startup/incubation hubs. Here are a few we could lay hands on.
KoWorkNG (Port Harcourt)
KoWorkNg provides co-working spaces, designed to meet the needs of startups and entrepreneurs. It is located in the Rumuigbo, Port Harcourt. Amongst other amenities, the facility complements its users with coffee/tea during work.
OlotuSquare is an active tech hub in Port Harcourt. It is however not limited to being a hub. It also offers co-working spaces to lots of business and tech organisations. As a result, office support services such as printing, technical assistance, logistics and more are rendered to users. Users can also partake of the numerous expositions, and other tech support programs organised in the hub.
Also located in Port Harcourt is Bubble. It is another co-working environment, geared towards proving users with the needed services and amenities to thrive. Bubble also encourages networking and synergy of entrepreneurs.
Start Innovation Hub aims to provide young entrepreneurs, a platform where technology is leveraged to create wealth. This is being achieved with their incubation programs and co-working spaces offered. Opportunities such as networking and peer review are also made available.
Despite Roothub’s transition from a co-working space to a hub, it still retains its original purpose of existence. Asides co-working spaces, other business support such as legal, bookkeeping branding etc are offered on the space.
Based in Abuja, Stonebrickshub focuses on building entrepreneurship. They aim to achieve this by creating a co-learning environment and working partnerships. The former, they achieve via making available co-working spaces for intending entrepreneurs. With this, the necessary virtual and growth supports are given to businesses utilising the facility. Entrepreneurs can subscribe to a suitable membership type as listed on their website.
Asides being an incubation hub, Aiivon Hub also offers workspaces for startups, entrepreneurs and likes. They include shared desks, as well as virtual offices. Conference/meeting rooms are not exempted from their offerings.
Box Office is an incubation hub that also offers serviced office spaces to business owners and startups. Box Office Incubator claims to have an environment that facilitates networking activities and collaboration sessions with clients.
