The origin story of RegalFlowers is as enterprising as it is romantic.

According to the founder, Olaotan Oladitan, the idea struck when he struggled to find a satisfactory place to order flowers online for his girlfriend (after a supposed break-up). He decided to seize the opportunity by launching Regal Flowers around this niche in June, 2016.

According to Oladitan, "everyone has someone they care about", which is why RegalFlowers helps extend that care by delivering ordered flowers to clients’ intended recipients anywhere in Lagos.

Beyond flowers, the eCommerce platform also lists other gift items including cupcakes, chocolates and other confectioneries.

Impressions

Over time, flowers have proven their worth in a variety of ways ranging from horticulture, home decor, ornamentals, occasions like weddings and expression of human feelings. So, it would not be erroneous to say flowers have indeed become a vital part of human existence and as such, we can barely do without them.

While it could be fascinating to have a service that delivers flowers at one’s beck and call, one might question the viability of such a venture, especially in a country like Nigeria where the culture of gifting flowers is not widespread.

Nevertheless, with Temitayo Salami (Marketing) and Micheal (Head Florist) on board to assist him, Oladitan and his team might just be on to something.
