Following the launch of its first ever Launchpad Start program in Nairobi last year, Google has again opened applications for its second edition.

The Launchpad Start is an accelerator program which aims to empower founders by supporting their startups through mentorship and equity-free support.

The new program, which will take place from March 27 -31, at JoziHub, Johannesburg, will focus on empowering innovative African SMEs by helping them tackle critical growth challenges.

Through a week-long boot camp, 20 participating startups and SMEs will leverage all that Google has to offer, to reach their true potential. Each day focuses on a different skill from product strategy, UI/UX best practices and marketing and technical excellence.

Launchpad Start comes at no cost for startups who make it into the program. According to Google, travel support will also be provided.

Application for this program is currently open until 24th February 2017.
