The DEMO Africa Innovations Tours 2016 kicked off in Kenya on the 10th of May 2016 and is hoping to make a complete round of some African cities. Startups are given the opportunity to pitch and stand a chance of winning entries to the annual DEMO Africa event on the 22nd-26th of August 2016. This year's edition will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

DEMO Africa is one of the flagship initiatives of LIONS@frica and aims to connect African startups to the global ecosystem. DEMO Africa is the place where the most innovative companies from African countries get a platform to launch their products and announce to Africa and the world what they have developed.

The tour aims to bring together startups and technology industry players to look at ways through which innovations can be turned into business ventures. Entrepreneurs from West Africa will get a chance to pitch to a panel of highly placed individuals in the tech sector.
